How AI parsing works
Doft uses AI to read broker rate confirmations and turn them into structured loads — broker, rate, stops, dates, equipment, and reference numbers — to reduce manual entry. The draft can have missing or uncertain fields.
The review step
A parsed load already appears on the board as Needs review. The AI review screen places its extracted fields beside the original document. You confirm, edit, or reject. Confidence scores and evidence can be missing. In a PDF with a searchable text layer, matching evidence can be highlighted; scans, photos and email do not guarantee a highlighted source line for each value. Scans and photos are supported through vision OCR, and difficult documents can be retried on a stronger model.
- Approve — confirm the reviewed draft.
- Edit a field — correct any value inline; your correction is saved.
- Reject — discard a bad parse (for example, a document that wasn't really a rate confirmation).
When it gets something wrong
AI is very good but not perfect. If a field is off:
- Click the field on the review screen and fix it. The source document stays visible so you can double-check against the original.
- If the whole document was misread, use Re-parse to run it again, or Reject and enter the load manually.
Your edits help us measure accuracy over time. When in doubt, trust the original document over the extracted value.
